Laser Vein Treatment
Laser vein treatment offers a nonsurgical solution for removing spider leg veins, stubborn facial veins, and other vascular growths (angiomas, venous lakes, etc.) with results that are long lasting. More importantly, it is an alternative to surgical leg vein removal that leaves no incision scars and does not require lengthy recovery.
For vein/vascular treatments, Dr. Buster delivers the energy into the targeted blood vessels in pulses. As heat accumulates, the blood vessel lining is affected causing it to constrict and eventually fade from view. A chilled tip on the handpiece cools the skin during the treatment both protecting the skin and helping to reduce discomfort.
The vessels may undergo immediate graying or blanching (clearing), or they may exhibit a slight purple or red color change. Mild swelling and redness of the skin over the blood vessel is common and generally fades within hours to 1-2 days. The vessels fully or partially fade in about ten to fourteen days. Depending on location it can take longer for some vessels to clear (up to 12 weeks). Repeat treatments may be performed every three to eight weeks (with timing depending on location, skin type, and other factors). Each blood vessel requires one to four treatments.
All laser treatments at VibrantSkin are performed by Dr. Buster.
